Audience measurement — off until you accept

Google Analytics 4 shows me which parts of the site are used and which are ignored — pages opened, how visitors move between them, what kind of device they are on, and how they found the site. It tells me what people do, not who they are.

Until you accept it, the Google tag is not loaded at all: nothing is requested from Google, and neither of the cookies below exists. They appear only after you have accepted. If you accept and then change your mind, the tag stops measuring immediately and both cookies are deleted — you do not have to wait for them to expire.

Session recordings and heatmaps — off until you accept

Microsoft Clarity records how people scroll and click through the site and builds heatmaps from that — a visual way of seeing where something is confusing or overlooked, alongside the numbers Google Analytics reports. It is a separate tool from Google Analytics, with its own accept/decline choice.

Until you accept it, nothing is requested from Microsoft at all and none of the cookies below exists. If you accept and then change your mind, tracking stops immediately and every cookie below is deleted.

Microsoft is a recipient of this information and processes it outside South Africa, in the United States. What this site does not use

No advertising, retargeting or profiling cookies. The Google tag is loaded with its advertising and personalisation features refused, and that refusal is never lifted — so nothing here feeds advertising, whether or not you accept measurement.
No social network buttons or trackers.
No Google Ads, no Google Tag Manager container and no Google Maps. Google Analytics does serve its tag from a googletagmanager.com address, which is confusing but is simply where Google hosts it; it is the analytics tag described above and nothing more.
No embedded video and no third-party fonts — the typefaces are served from this domain.
No cookie behind the recipes world map. It is drawn by this site as part of the page, not loaded from anyone else.
No cookie behind the quote form. It posts your request directly and stores nothing on your device.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, under Privacy or Security. Note that deleting the klaro cookie deletes the record of your refusal, so you will be asked again on your next visit.

Changes to this page

If a new tool is ever added, it will appear on this page before it is switched on for anyone, and — unless it is strictly necessary, as the consent record above is — in the consent banner as well. The date at the top of this page changes with it.
